Question

Cortex overlay shows 0 GPU usage

bitbuzzDenim376

Hello,

Need help with the Cortex ingame ovberlay.

Ryzen 7 9700x and 4070 super.

So obviously there are two graphics units in my rig. Obviously the 4070 super is used for gaming, but the  Cortex keeps showing 0% load for GPU while gaming. I think it reads the radeon graphics that comes with the CPU. Is there a way to manually override it and show me the load and the temps of my 4070s?

Did this topic help you find an answer to your question?

I have the same issue. It appears as Cortex is looking at the integrated GPU.

This is normal because with your CPU, you have an integrated GPU part.Razer will choose this GPU by default to gauge your CPU stats as well. When you CTRL ALT DEL, you will see your GPU (example RTX) performing. As of now, I don't know if Raser plans to let us change the priority GPU.

This is so dumb, none uses the integrated GPU for gaming. If they did not want to bother implementing the possibility to select the GPU, they should have defaulted to the dedicated GPU not the integrated one… hope they realize how lame this is and fix it.
Now the question is… beside the overlay showing 0%, i wonder how the optimization works given the software looks at the wrong GPU.

I have the same issue.  Hope they plan to fix that otherwise the functionality is useless to me.

Yep, same issue here. In-game overlay shows 0% GPU loading, and low FPS, but the post-game report from Cortex shows my 3080 was in use with a way higher FPS than what was reported on the overlay… weird. Guess I’ll just turn it off if there is no fix out.
