Why is Razer Cortex affecting my game? | Razer Insider

While trying to resolve issues with my game, I attempted to open it but instead Razer Cortex launched. Since it was causing severe lag in Geometry Dash, I wanted to close it and launch the game again. However, after closing Razer Cortex, my Steam behaved abnormally and kept closing when I tried to launch the game. I tried various solutions, including reinstalling Cortex, but nothing worked. My PC is also new, so I am unsure why this is happening.

Any more recomendations?

I am honestly very disappointed. I thought I was going to love my keyboard, but as soon as I started using it my game started lagging immediately. I tried using all of the tips listed above, but none of them worked. As soon as I unplugged it and started using the very cheap keyboard I got from office depot, the game started working just fine almost immediately. If you have any other options that could help me, please help, because I just ordered another one that is to arrive on tuesday, but would hate for that to have the same issues. I really thought these keyboards were going to enhance my gaming experience, but so far the 15 dollar keyboard i got from office depot is my only hope to actually enjoying my games.

I had this issue too and found turning of in game custom display fixed it immediately which is strange cause it’s only affected geometry dash so far

Regarding the lag issue, please follow the below steps to resolve it on your side:

  1. Toggle off the "CUSTOM DISPLAY" option in Razer Cortex LAUNCHER > IN GAME. 
  2. If the issue persists, please deselect "Enable CPU Core", under "Specials" in "GAME BOOSTER" > "BOOST".
  3. If this issue persists, please disable "Auto Boost" in GAME BOOSTER > BOOST > Auto-Boost.
  4. If this issue persists, please disable all FPS-related features in LAUNCHER > IN GAME.

If this issue persists, could you provide us with your Razer Cortex logs via pm?

 

Regarding the second issue, could you check whether you turn on the features in LAUNCHER > PLATFORMS.
