They do charge sales tax though now and that number looks awfully accurate for sales tax. They just label it oddly. But it can't really be labeled sales tax on purchase price because you redeemed it with silver, so they call it a tax on razer silver redemption. It is the same thing. I think there may have been a time when they did not charge this, but I am not sure.

By EU law if it was a VAT charge it is labelled as such and would be a different amount. Regardless, it wouldn't apply as a separate charge in the first place as VAT is, by law, included in the price of the product. This is not sales/VAT. This is not poor labelling. This is Razer charging an extra thing that they did not do prior to 2021. There is no point to go around in circles and provide misinformation for others about how this is sales tax. Just look into that and VAT further for yourself.
I mean the tax rate total between two of your purchases look nearly identical or close to it. Look at your local taxes at like 1 dollar versus your first redemption. This is sales tax, it is just labeled rather poorly.

If that is not your sales tax, then where is your sales tax??

For comparison, here is an order from 2020. You can see the difference.
This. Is. NOT. A. Sales. Tax.
It is a separate charge collected by Razer specifically for redeeming Razer Silver and was brought into effect in 2021.

Re: Sales Tax query: In EU there is VAT applied to products and is part of product price and labelled as VAT if shown separately. VAT is the equivalent to what you call sales tax. Here is details on that from Razer FAQ: "A national sales tax or VAT rate will be applied on physical goods for customers based in EU countries. This sales tax or VAT may not be shown as a separate charge during checkout and may instead be included in the product price (Sales tax or VAT inclusive pricing)"
If that is not your sales tax, then where is your sales tax??

I am relatively sure that js your sales tax. Unless I am confusing the european system in a way that is incorrect.

This is not a sales tax. It is a new charge, not a tax, for redeeming silver. You can see that clearly on the screenshot. This is something that has been introduced this year.

Okay, to answer your question, I now know that you are only charged your typical taxes and a shipping charge. Shipping was 10 dollars for me. All on the up and up. No gotchya costs or anything. This post had me wondering lol.

You are incorrect in this and another reply saying its country related. The person had stated it was a charge for redeeming silver and that is exactly what it is. An extremely disappointing additional charge that only Razer is collecting.

Your feedback is highly appreciated, if however you have a problem with taxes it should be feedback directed to your government, not to Razer. Imagine thinking Razer collects taxes for themselves, if you think that then you have no idea of how taxation works but im pretty sure if you really are in Malaysia you dont have taxes on Silver items. Correct me if im wrong, the last time I ordered something was 6 months ago so it might be different now.

Also your use of the word "bullshit" was considered as a curse word, I am just letting you know. Voicing your opinion is fine, but please be civil about it. If you are mad or angry you can still display that without being vile.

No one likes taxes, but this is some extra cost that Razer is collecting from you. If you are a tax payer you can get it refunded when you file your taxes, atleast this is the case where I am currently living. Might be different for you.

Ngl was extremely frustrating reading another similar thread and the amount of replies to OP talking about "oh hey this is normal tax, it's your government or country that gets it" etc despite the OP clarifying numerous times and even attaching a screenshot.

This is a NEW charge they have decided to throw on. It is not a tax. It is a charge for redeeming silver. It IS collected by Razer. It is NOT deductable. It is not a government issue. Have redeemed plenty of times with Razer Silver before and this is first time this charge has been added. Very disappointed.

hi, my product delivery was headed to France so they charged me with 10 euros shipment and a 18.33 taxes of using a silver redemption so im paying almost 33 dollars for a 100 dollars gift!

Even more here. 🏆

+
£10 for normal shipment for UK
Total = £35 GBP / ~ 41 Euro / ~ $48 USD

They call it 100% Free. 💯🆓
I call that really good marketing. 💰🗿

P.s. If they cared about us, it would be really 100% Free🍀, but no, they just want to collect information from their applications, that's what it's about (maybe they also sell it to other companies). Most people know about this, but they are silent.🙈🙉🐵

This is crazy, at the very least be transparent about additional costs you impose
The shipping cost does not add up (way to high in general and why charge people for shipping of their GIFT) aswell as the tax is ridiculous.
I will never use razer Gold again after this. Redeemed two items so far, and both times i am left to feel scammed

correct, same for me!

Those are likely your country's taxes not a tax on razer silver. It is unfortunate, but they don't cover the taxes.

Oh, thx for the info

Yeah been thinking about it. Aside from shipping fee and tax fee... Are there additional fees after applying the voucher? Hmm

I mailed them for about 7 to 8 times but i didn't find any solution for that. The payment has been deducted from my account and i haven't received my razor gold coins yet. Still the razor gold balance is nill.

You will have to wait buddy as this is internal issue and should resolved by them. Good luck!
ThreaT209
Are you talking about sales tax or is there an additional fee for silver redemptions?
