2019 RBP 17 - RTX 2060 - Synapse 3.0 causing Frametime Stuttering | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Hello Razer Team,

first of all, the machine is well build and i have a great experience with it.

Sadly, the Razer Synapse 3.0 Software causes frametime drops in Battlefield V or APEX Legends.

I made a video of it which i will post in this thread later, but i can reproduce the frame drops every time. When i switch Synapse off, the experience is buttery smooth, if i turn it on, massive framedrops are back again.

best regards,

Kyuss89
Hey @Kyuss89. Thanks for directing your concern to our support board. Does the issue happen while using the Razer Synapse as a Guest User or on a dummy Razer Synapse account?
Hey @Razer.Speedcr0ss

thanks for your reply. It worked first, but after switching through the different Powermodes at the RBP17, the Framedrops where back again.

I made captured a video, the first 30 seconds are without synapse running, then there is a short screen freeze (at this point i turned synapse on) and the game is starting to have the massive frame drops.

I can reproduce this issue all the time.

Thanks for the video! When did the issue start? Was there any hardware or software changes? Does the issue happen with other games aside from Battlefield V and Apex Legend? Also, does the issue happen while the laptop is plugged in? We would like to investigate more. Please send me a PM together with your laptop's serial number so we can check for its available update and specs.
I will install Destiny 2 and Metro Exodus and test this.

You will receive the PM after the test.
Thanks @Kyuss89. I'll wait for your PM.
