7.1 surround does not lower my pc's sound

Hi, I recently bought a razer kraken x lite, downloaded the 7.1 surround software, did everything right, put what sound it should use and there in the windows option too. But for a while now I can't turn down the sound on my computer anymore, I can leave my computer on mute that shows there in windows and the sound keeps coming out.
