7.1 surround sound app not detecting headset

Just got my kraken v3 x headset, installed synapse and 7.1 surround sound. Synapse finds the set but when I go through the set up for 7.1 there is no option to select any output device after making 7.1 the default device. I have tried reinstalling everything, restarting my pc. Nothing seems to work.
