I am trying to connect 7.1 surround sound to my Blackshark V2 X headset but 7.1 audio input does not show up and the app says that the enhancements won't work until I have 7.1 as my default input. How do I make it show up on my PC?

Hey there! To set the 7.1 Surround Sound as the default playback device, please perform the following steps:

  • Go to Settings > System > Sound.

  • Select "Speakers (7.1 Surround Sound)" as the output device.

  • Launch the 7.1 Surround Sound software.

  • Select the output device that you would like to apply 7.1 Surround Sound on.

  • Select the system's onboard audio playback device if you are using an analog headset connected via the system's 3.5 mm port.

  • Select “Sound Control Panel” under “Related Settings” to ensure that "Spatial sound" is turned off.

    a. Right-click on the playback device where the 7.1 Surround Sound is active, then select “Properties”.

    b. Go to the “Spatial sound” tab.

    c. Confirm that “Off” is selected from the drop-down list under the “Spatial sound format” section.

    d. Click “Apply” then “OK”.
