barracuda x replacement dongle nto working

Some time ago my Dongle for my Razer Barracuda X 2021 broke so i went and bought a Razer Barracuda X (2022) dongle: https://www.razer.com/replacement-parts-audio/Razer-Barracuda-Series-USB-Wireless-Transceiver/RC30-03780100-R3M1. I have spent several hours trying to pair them together but to no success.

I´ve tried:

  • Headset Pairing Utility for Barracuda X (it got stuck on the pairing part and could not pair when headset was blinking blue lights)
  • The Barracuda X firmware updater
  • And Synapse

I´ve tried to look for a 2021 dongle in the shop (which has the usb connector on the middle instead of the 2022´s on the side). 

Is there anyway to connect the Usb c dongle of the 2022 Barracuda X with the Barracuda X 2021? if not, where might I find a usb c dongle for the 2021 barracuda (not including second hand or third parties) in the official razer shop?

Exact same issue here - I’ve spent hours trying and failing to pair this brand new bluetooth dongle that says “For Razer Barracuda Series” to replace the lost one. I have had not success, at all. I’ve submitted a ticket to support and hope I will get some helpful answers. 

I have tried, in order, the following: 

restarting pc to make sure it’s updated.

checking for update manually and trying to make sure drivers are up to date. 

redownloading the pairing software. 

restarting the pairing software from the beginning. 

At this point, I don’t know what to do and I am at my wits end. If I can’t get it to work, I guess my only option is to send this entire thing back to them, including the new dongle, and buy a whole new unit that is already paired. I’m incredibly frustrated by this.

Found a Solution:

  1. Unplug both the adapter and the headphones
  2. Restart the pairing utility
  3. Then navigate to the headset (Razer Barracuda X)
  4. When it say to plug in the adapter, only plug the USB-C adapter
  5. Then when it says to plug in the headset, plug in the headset

The pair button should then be available to select. Give it a minute and the audio should play.
