I've previously encountered the issue where the mouse doesn't turn on. As often as it happens, and it does happen often, I've always been able to remove the batteries for a few moments re-place those same batteries and continue to use the mouse until I inevitably would encounter the same issue later on. Annoying but bearable. Now my mouse has completely stopped working. I've done all the troubleshooting and have determined that the recurring issue was this time terminal. I've enjoyed using the mouse, despite its flawed production, along with my razer black widow mini keyboard and my razer nari headset. I'm aware that the mouse's warranty has expired but I want to know if Razer will replace a product which obviously was malfunctioning from a production flaw.
Basilisk X Hyperspeed not turning on with new batteries
This is actually funny. After starting a support inquiry the automated message which addressed me as 'name’, asked for proof of purchase and a video of the malfunctioning product among other things. First, the mouse I use was a gift and I've been using it for years, so there's absolutely no way I can document purchase of the mouse other than fact that I'm holding it. Still I have been encountering THE SAME ISSSUE that others have with their basilisk deciding just not to work at times. Second, I'm not wasting time videoing a mouse not working. Sorry just won't happen. Razer should be aware of this problem with their Basilisk X Hyperspeed, Reddit certainly is aware.
Also, as an added eye roll from this company… the automated message that I'd had to fish out of my spam folder gave me 24 hours to reply with the things I just described. After which it assumed my problems were magically resolved.

mate, i was having the same issue as you, intermitted the mouse would just d/c from the 2.4 dongle. i would then either have to turn the mouse off then on again or reinsert the battery to get it going again. it started happening more and more often, e.i in between COD games it would just d/c while in the lobby. it wasn't anything to do with the power saver timing. yesterday, it just died completely.
i rarely use the mouse in BT mode so i dont know if it was having the similar issues on BT mode.
anyway, i opened up the mouse (1 screw under the bottom feet nearest to your wrist, 3 screws under the whole label itself, the screws are an odd hex shape) then pushed down on the wire tabs that connect from the battery terminals to the board. so far its connected with a stable connection.
i love this mouse, its a perfect fit for me. i was surprised its discontinued and has been replaced by one twice the retail price of the X when it was new.
This is the way to do it, I just unscrewed and pressed down on every connector. Almost immediately after I put the battery back in, lights turned on everything worked. If you experience this issue, give it a shot. And btw - the screwdriver I used came with a $5 eye glass repair kit (that had a bunch of tips). Thank you
