Hello everyone,
in March last year I bought my Razer Blade Adv to replace my old Razer Blade (1060). Sadly today I had to discover that my battery is bulging. Like in my old Blade I had before. :|
Am I just unlucky? Or do you guys experience the same issue. I knew that there was a problem with the batteries back in the days but I thought that has been fixed.
Anyone know how to get a reliable replacement? Do you know if Razer will get me some support on this matter?
Thank you in advance!

I know I'm a bit late, but please don't hesitate to send me a PM if you still need assistance with this. I can create a repair ticket on your behalf if you send over the serial number of your RB15.

You can contact either Amazon CS or Razer since I suppose you’re living in Germany where we have a good 2 years guarantee base EU costumer protection law. Concerning battery bulging, i feel sorry and yes I saw issues even on Blade 15. Personally I don’t have it on my old Blade and current unit Blade 15 2018 early batch. There’s two possibilities about this first bad battery and second heat issue that weared the parts including battery faster. I always monitor the temperature and clean the Fans annually, Blade 15 that is my main PC mostly plugged on the wall at home since on the go I use stealth, both are fine and stealth 2016 which some users reported battery issues as well is still working great on new owner it’s 2,5 years unit.
I wouldn't bother quoting EU law, most shops just ignore it because they can get away with doing so,had it before with GAME when they wouldn't do support for a raiju I bought that razer said was within EU warranty. that being said, razer and Amazon support have both been superb to me so they would be first port of call always. Razer sorted me out on this one even when they weren't legally obliged to

Maybe thats the problem. Batterys don't like being at full charge while plugged in the whole time. Just now and then they need to get used.
Yep what he said. iphone, samsung, etc batteries will bulge if you do this too

stand almost always at full charge and plugged in

my poor battery..
My 2017 Blade 15 (GTX 1060) was kept carefully, vented stand almost always at full charge and plugged in, with GPU work offloaded to a Razer Core. Didn't help; massive battery swelling less than 2.5 yrs later.
If the battery really is kept at a safe level (ie, does not overcharge) as Razer claims, then it's possible Razer just uses low quality batteries - the sheer quantity of first-hand reports from people I know, plus the internet, makes me think this is the case. So I'm hoping we can pressure Razer into doing some/all of the following:
1. Battery care feature https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/ehct5g/feature_request_razer_laptop_battery_care/
2. Just.. use better quality batteries
3. Make batteries easily replaced by consumer and available through Razer Shop, without having to go through the Repair process. Right now, third-party battery or going through Warranty/Repair is the only way.
Is there any way to contact Razer Engineering directly about this?
