Hi all,
Is it common for Razer laptops to have swelling batteries after a year of use ? I bought the RB15 2018 model with a 1070 max q and i decided one day to upgrade the nvme SSD only to find the battery has inflated so much I could not screw the back cover back on. I've asked Razer support for help but they gone into silence for a week now. Is this how Razer treats its customers ? I've heard horror stories of Razer's customer support but this just makes me hate them and realise they make minimalist products to maximise their profit margins at the expense of customers not being able to replace their previous products in the hopes of repeat buying the next best thing. I could buy a replacement battery on ebay but why should I do that when I paid for both the product and Razer support ?
Regards

I have exactly the same problem and support has not replied to me as well. Unfortunately I cant even seem to find a replacement battery for sale anywhere that would not take more than 2 months to ship from China. It really is a disaster to buy a Laptop for more than 2000 bucks, which breaks after one year and when you contact support they dont even care to respond.

Hi Razer.RedPanda,
Case #: REMOVED
Kind Regards
Yes, from the bit of research I did, this seems to be a common problem. Exact same thing happened to mine after 1 year. However, Razer Support was awesome! I did have to ship it out, but shipping and replacement of battery was free - covered by warranty. I just hope it doesn't happen again next year - fingers crossed!
