Black Widow Chroma keyboard and mouse Keep disconnecting
Hey
I have a problem with my Black Widow Chroma, it keeps disconnecting.
It depends when it happens, sometimes it can go 30 min, sometimes 5.
When it happens the lights on the keyboard freeze and Windows make the "USB device sound"
It worked fine for 3 year then it suddenly started.
I tried to change the Razer keyboard to a SteelSeries Apex 7, but the same problem.
Sometimes it the keyboard that stops working and sometimes the mouse.
The lights on the keyboard stay on.
I then have to unplug the USB connection and reconnect it, then it starts working again. Then it happening again.
I have tried to uninstall from Device Manager and rebooted the PC, but the problem continues.
I have tried to check the power settings from the device manager, but no luck here.
I have tried to uninstall Windows 10 completely and formatted the disk, but the problem continues.
I also run dual boot with Linux, in Linux the keyboard work without any problem at all.
When I play games in Windows 10, it doesn't freeze.
If I work with Onenote, Firefox/Chrome, word, etc it freezes
My girlfriend has an old cheap USB keyboard, I borrowed that.
And this works, no disconnecting.
Have searched the web for a long time, but I can't find any solution to this.
Since it works in Linux I don't think it's a hardware problem, an old keyboard works without problems, fancy keyboards like SteelSeries and Razor have the problem.
I got a tip from another forum to try a USB hub with an external power supply, same problem here.
Anyone can help me out here?
Thanks a lot
Bjørn
