Blackadder v2 and On-Device Profiles | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
I just received my new Blackadder, my first Razer Device. I got the impression that it would be possibel to store profiles locally on the device in order to use them "on PCs that do not have the Razer Software installed". At least that is what Synapse suggests.

But now I got the impression I need to keep runnung synapse even with a locally stored profile or otherwise the device will not recognize my settings.

Can someone here confirm to me if the device really required the Razer Software fo function as indicated? In which case I would have to send it back and get a Steelseries or Corsair who got at least that covered..

You need Razer Synapse when initially setting up and customizing your device stand can store an onboard profile. Once done, you should be able to use the device (excluding Chroma effect/settings) on a PC without Synapse installed. Please check out this article to learn more.
