BlackShark v2 mic problems

Hello there. When I bought these Headphones I was so excited to try them out. But when I came home , I got told that they cannot hear me well and also that they heard what I was listening to (mic bleed) . When everything happened I brought the headphones to the place I bought them from , for a warranty. Even took it three times because they were telling me that they were working fine and well I just couldn’t believe that. After the third time I just got fed up with the warranty , and only then I was like “Wait maybe I should try it on some other PC , to see if it is really the headphones”. Turns out when I connected them to my sisters PC , they were working fine even without Razer software , mic was crisp no issues whatsoever. But then when I again connected it to my PC , mic bleeding and people could barely hear me. And now I really do not know what to do , is there any help?

Hello Bogi25,

I understand that your Razer BlackShark V2 X is experiencing microphone bleed and poor audio quality on your own PC, but the headphones work perfectly on another PC. To isolate the issue, please try the steps laid out below:

1. Check the audio ports and audio jack for any dirt or debris that can cause the issue and that the audio jack is securely inserted into the audio port. A Q-tip and cloth can be used to clean the audio jack and ports.
2. Get the latest Windows update.
3.  Open the sound settings on your PC and ensure that the correct recording and playback devices are selected. Go to the "Levels" tab for your microphone and adjust the levels to reduce sensitivity and mic bleed.
4. Disable any audio enhancements for both playback and recording devices that might interfere with sound quality.
5.Try to reinstall your headset drivers.
6. Try different audio ports on your PC to rule out port-specific issues.
7. Run the Windows troubleshooter for audio issues to detect and fix any underlying problems automatically.
8. If non of the steps resolve the problem and since the issue is PC-specific, contact your PC manufacturer’s support for further assistance in diagnosing potential hardware or system settings issues.
