BlackShark V2 volume knob problem.

So I got the BlackShark V2 USB Soundcard headphones a while back.

I usually have the volume knob on 50%, but recently I noticed an imbalance in the audio: the sound comes out to about 75% left, 25% right.

The issue is that it only happens with 50% volume, so I’m pretty sure it’s not a driver or software issue. I imagine that it’s a problem with the internal connections of the headphones (wiring and such). They’ve never been dropped or man-handled.

Is there some manual that could tell me how to repair it, myself, or should I send it to someone to have it fixed/looked at?

I have had this issue in my Nari Essentials for like 3 years now and blowing at the knob while playing with it kinda helps so I think it’s more of a hardware issue. I still haven’t found a permanent fix tho it’s just like that.

For anyone having issues with scratchy or inconsistent volume knobs on electronics, here’s a simple way to fix it permanently.
Get yourself an electronics cleaner — CRC, WD-40 Electronic Contact Cleaner, or any similar brand will work. An air duster can help, but it’s not as effective as a proper contact cleaner.
You’ll need access to the circuit board where the volume knob connects. Open the device carefully until you can reach that area, then spray the cleaner directly on the knob’s connection while turning the knob back and forth.
Trust me — it’s worth the effort. After cleaning, your volume control will work smoother and often better than when it was new.
