Blackshark V2 X mic not working on computer

So my laptop doesn't have a working Aux port so I've been using a USB adapter that takes headphone output and microphone input ports, and that worked fine on my previous headset, however with this one, after going through the splitter the headphone output works perfectly fine with high sound quality and all that stuff, but there is almost no microphone input, only when making very loud sounds is anything picked up, and its very distorted and robotty, I've tried messing with the computer settings but the issue seems to be that the input, as I did various tests on other devices, first with the full cable (without being split) where both sound and microphone worked fine, then using the split cable on my phone it had similar problems with the mic, where everything was way too quiet and almost nothing could be understood, however it was a bit better than on the laptop as sound was recognized, just way too quiet. What options do I have? I've been thinking of replacing the audio splitter to a store bought one as that seems to be the issue, however I don't know.

After countless hours I finally figured out that my mic didn't have access to window's voice recorder. Technically, this is considered an app so you have to give it mic access through settings. Do this through settings<privacy<microphone and find the omegle lis of apps, then turn on "voice recorder".

Thank you for your reply, however it did not work. I have refunded the headphones already too because it seems to be an issue with them
