I recently bought a BlacksharkV2 headset and the sound is great, but my pc doesn't pick up anything from my microphone.
I have followed all the steps in the Razer troubleshooting guide video. The microphone is read when I plug the headset into my laptop through the sound card, and when I plug the microphone attachment directly into the mic input jack (though it can't hear me very well from so far away). I have restarted my pc, used every usb slot I have, reinstalled the device, updated drivers, deleted, then later reinstalled synapse, and the mic input is simply not read anywhere. (I have done this with the mic button depressed and popped out, so it's not just I muted and can't figure out how to unmute)
What is the issue? Could it be that my pc has such an old internal sound card that it just can't recognize the newer input? Is it an issue with Razer's sound card itself?

Are you referring to the troubleshooting step from this article? You may also want to check this link. Did you try plugging the headset into a different computer? Ensure that the Razer BlackShark V2's firmware is updated. Check if the issue is also happening when the said device connected to your smartphone or laptop with an audio/mic combo 3.5mm port.
