Blackwidow kb reverts to default rainbow on lock screen or synapse closed

I recently upgraded Synapse to the latest 3.6 version after getting sick of seeing the update pop up notification. I reset my basic color scheme (static + reactive layers) which is working fine when Synapse is running. However when the PC is locked the keyboard reverts back to the default rainbow fade scheme, or if I close the app the same thing occurs. This did not used to be the case in the previous version and I was at least able to hard set a static color to the device. How is this done in Synapse 3? I have not been able to find an option to do this. I've tried both using the quick effects with static and advanced (chroma studio) but nothing has helped to achieve this.

    Closing the app should remove its lighting effects, and locking your PC would revert it to its default settings. For now, please perform a clean reinstallation of your Razer Synapse by following the steps on this page. If the problem persists, send me the serial number of your keyboard. Using that would help me verify its model and look for other possible solutions. *Thread locked to curb the conversation to PMs.
