Blackwidow v3 broken mute button

I am using the Blackwidow v3 Pro and it is fully up to date. When I wirelessly connect the keyboard, the moment it turns on it mutes/unmutes the computer. Plugging in the keyboard does not toggle mute, however. Also using the mute button, whether plugged in or not, results in nothing, I cannot use the mute button in the middle of the volume dial to toggle the volume.

I also removed the mute function from the button through synapse and it still toggles mute when it turns on.
