Blackwidow v4 always goes into sleep, even if it's deactivated

Relaitvely new to the BW v4 LP HS and i kinda love it. However, I have an issue with the lights: I don’t want it to turn off the lights when not being used. I even deactivated these options in the settings. But the keyboard still goes all black after a few minutes. Of course, I changed profiles and updated to the current firmware. Nothing helps. Any ideas preventing it from turning off?

Hmm.. have the same KB, but mine works OK (doesn’t go into the sleep mode) when wireless power saving is set to off.

Is your firmware up to date? https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20292

Also what’s your Synapse 4 version (mine is 4.0.86.2606231034)

Thanks for your reply.

Weird firmware update behaviour:

  • Synapse showed that a firmware update was available for my BlackWidow.
  • I followed the instructions and ran the firmware updater.
  • After that, Synapse still showed that a firmware update was available.
  • However, the updater said "No update available."
  • I then tried it again using a wired connection, even though the updater explicitly recommends doing the update wirelessly. This time, my BlackWidow actually received another firmware update.

Synapse version:
I'm currently on 4.0. [removed by moderator] .

For now, I'll keep an eye on things to see whether the BlackWidow firmware update has already fixed my problem.

Thanks again!
