BlackWidow V4 Pro – Q Key Randomly Stops Registering While Held in games

Hi,

I’m having an issue with my Q key in League of Legends. Sometimes when I hold Q down, the game suddenly stops detecting the key even though I’m still holding it. It happens randomly and I don’t have this problem with my other keys.

I tried connecting the keyboard directly to my PC without a USB hub, but the problem still happens.

Could this be related to the keyboard, firmware, Synapse, or something else?

Hi akinn1234,

Sorry to hear you're having issues with your Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro Q key in League of Legends. Here are a few things you can check:

  1. Clean your keyboard from dirt or debris.

  2. Connect your keyboard directly to the PC and not a USB hub.

  3. Test your keyboard with a different USB Port.

  4. Get the latest Windows update.

  5. Make sure your Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro firmware is up to date. Follow the steps in this support page.

  6. Check if a software is causing the issue by closing all Razer apps and other keyboard configuration software.

Razer Synapse on the system tray

  7. If closing Razer Synapse fixed the issue, reinstall your keyboard drivers, and perform a clean reinstall of Razer Synapse.

  8. Check if the issue persists with a different PC.

If you need further assistance, PM me with your keyboard's serial number so I can verify its model and provide other workarounds. Have a great day!
