Blade 14 (2021) doesn't charge via USB-C (65W) until I close and reopen lid

Hi, I recently got an Anker Nano II 65W USB-C PD charger, since it supports 20V power delivery which is required for the Blade 14 (RZ09-0370x). About a quarter of the time, this works as expected, and charges my laptop slowly during light use such as watching videos. Based on the information in HWInfo, this typically draws around 20W when I don't have much else running and I'm on battery. I don't know how much more the system draws while in a Plugged In state, but I can't imagine it would be much more. Most of the time, if I'm using the laptop and then plug it in with USB-C, it shows a charging indicator but instead slowly discharges. However, if I close the laptop lid, let it go to sleep, and then reopen the lid (no need to unplug the cable or anything), it begins charging, despite the workload being identical before and after closing the lid. This doesn't take too long but is pretty inconvenient, especially since it's clear the charger is capable enough, there's just something going on that means it doesn't immediately charge. Is there a setting that might be affecting this? Something to do with power states? Or is this a bug?

Did you try updating the laptop's BIOS to version 1.06? If you haven't, please click this article and see if it helps. Otherwise, submit a case to our Support Team or send me a PM including your device's serial number so I can help you kick-start a support ticket. *Thread is now locked.
