I picked up the new Blade Stealth this weekend and was initially very happy with it. But I noticed today that I was not getting anywhere near the battery life I was expecting out of the system. Just a browser window open and nothing else I was only getting about 3 hours.



Took a look at the system a noticed that the System process in Windows Task Manager was using a constant 33 to 38% of the CPU. After a quick search I found that the System process misbehaving is usually related to a driver with problems. Made sure the Nvidia driver is up to date, made sure all the Intel ones were updated with their driver update utility, but the problem is still there.



The system is only a couple days out of the box, the only things i have added to it are Steam with Doom Eternal installed, a couple of the Affinity apps and Minecraft.



Has anyone else noticed this being an issue on brand new systems? If so have you identified the culprit? I will probably try wiping the system and doing a clean install of Windows if I can't find something soon.
