Blade Stealth U7500 + Akitio Node Pro

So I finally got around to what I had always planned on doing.

I bought an external dock for my RBS!

However, when I try and use it, it just keeps resetting.

It initially connects, in devices it shows a 'base system device' (the Thunderbolt connection). The gfx card then appears. And then the gfx card disappears... and then just cycles, appearing and disappearing. Never for more than a few seconds either way.

I have tried plugging the dock into a different machine (a Lenovo) and it worked just fine.

The dock has a Quaddro K4000 in it (its what I had lying around at work).

Any suggestions?
(other than go buy a CoreX... I plan on designing a new, smaller case for this one. The CoreX internals are way bigger to begin with).

I have tried restarting, installing the thunderbolt driver, reinstalling windows, exiting without saving my work etc.
I also tried it with an AMD HD6450. Exact same issue.
I'll be taking it home tonight and trying a GTX970 in it next.

Reinstalling Windows is a bit too extreme and since the problem persists even after that, we'll have to look into possible Firmware and/or BIOS updates. Send me a PM with the serial number of your RBS and I'll take it from there.

PM sent.

Also additional words because otherwise it won't let me post...

For historical reference.

Tried updating the BIOS and Firmware of the RBS. Didn't fix the issue. Returned the Akitio Node Pro.
Bought a CoreX (which is cheaper anyway). Which works just fine.
Conclusion. Faulty Node Pro, nothing wrong with the RBS.

Thanks for updating the thread. I hope all goes well this time around. Closing this as resolved.
