Blue screen crash during BIOS update, now won't boot - Razer Blade 15 Advanced 2020
I performed a firmware update on my 2020 Razer Blade 15 Advanced this afternoon using Razer's firmware update tool (updating to BIOS version 1.03 from 1.01 I think). Connected to wall power, all other programs closed, standard procedure. The process was about 30% complete when I experienced a blue screen crash. The laptop has since been unable to boot.
Pressing the power button results in the power light and keyboard turning on, however the screen remains black and I don't get a post screen at all. The keyboard cycles through the color spectrum and the green power light slowly flashes on and off. I have removed the CMOS battery and the laptop battery for 10 minutes, replaced, and then attempted a reboot with no improvement.
I've been around long enough to recognize a bricked laptop when I see one, but if anyone has any other suggestions please let me know. I've already contacted Razer support and waiting to hear back from them. I am in warranty luckily.
Thanks in advance.
