Book 13 Perplexing BSODs | Razer Insider
Hey all

I have a friend with a Razer Book 13 (RZ09-0357xxxx) with unbelievable crashes. It started with severe GPU artifacting and display issues, and was sent back to Razer. They appeared to address the GPU issues (which were probably heat related). The device still gets crazy hot (100*C under mild load) but interestingly, that isn't what causes the crashes.

On a brand new fresh Windows install, with all firmware updated, with zero new drivers added, this thing is crashing completely randomly. The only commonality is the keyboard is being used. But the style of failure ranges from KMODE, kernel panic, and other completely rare and unusual failure points. Eventvwr tells a different story every single time but there does seem to be generic IRQ errors throughout.

WTF is going on here? ICM bridge overheat? Something else? It's completely random and not attached to any clear cause or temperature. I do get the odd crash following artifacting. My hunch is it's something between the GPU and the keyboard drivers, but nothing obvious shows up in any diagnostic.
Can you PM me the case or RMA number so I can check the repair notes for reference and route your concern to the proper team so they can address the BSOD issue? I'm looking forward to receiving your PM anytime soon.
Hi, my Book 13 keeps showing BSOD almost every time I used it, halfway through, something thing will hang and I will need to force restart it or the BSOD will appear. The strange thing is, the stop code sometimes is different, one of which is stop code: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Please help. I also don't know how to start a new thread, so I thought I post it here. Please advise!
Can't say I've seen that exact error but it's entirely random. Different BSOD reasons. Most common is IRQL errors.

We're 3 months into this user being unable to use her device. I tried everything, wiping the partitions even and starting fresh. I was careful about updates, checked every device on the mainboard by uninstalling drivers and clean installing to their OEM driver, etc. There is literally no rhyme or reason to why it crashes. I can leave a 4k video playing for hours, versus just 10 min, or anywhere in between on a fresh boot. Months later Razer is acknowledging a hardware issue. Incredibly disappointing. Genuinely gutted to say there is no way I can continue recommended that my less technically inclined friends buy a Razer device given the absolute runaround support has given this user over a month.
