Can I use the Razer Huntsman Elite without installing any software as just a basic keyboard on Windows 10? (no lighting, macros, etc.)

Does the Razer Huntsman Elite push any software via USB when you plug it into a Windows 10 computer.

I switch my home office setup from my work computer (no external software allowed) to my gaming computer (I can put whatever I want on it) while using the same keyboard and mouse. Thus, I just need the keyboard to act as a basic input device during the day/work on my work computer, then it can be lights-on and gaming at night.
Once a RAZER device connects to Windows device, like how common Windows device attempts to load the driver, it automatically downloads and installs the Synapse from Internet.

You can try block this by reinforcing the Firewall settings on your Router or your Windows FW settings, but which protocol/port to block is unknown.

So if the software install is blocked will the keyboard still function as basic keyboard?
a mix of different answers here and there.

For example, Synapse 3.0 is not compatible with macOS; and we hear from Insiders that the Keyboard keys do not work.
Your Razer Huntsman Elite can be used as a basic keyboard without customizations if you don't install Synapse. However, since the Huntsman Elite has a hybrid onboard memory, you can still use your customizations even without Synapse on your computer. You can use this guide in switching profiles saved on your keyboard's onboard memory. If you need further assistance, feel free to send me a PM. I'll be locking this thread now.
