I hate to spam the board but they are about to cancel my support ticket and I can't get through by chat. I got through by phone but connection was terrible and I got disconnected. I have an open ticket because my hard drive is dead or something along those lines. I corresponded by email with tech support. I went through as many diagnostic procedures recommended by the tech as I could but then, instead of giving bsod every few minutes, it simply would not let me boot at all. The HD is not being detected.
So the tech said on April 15 that I would get RMA info by email in 48 hours. I did not. A week later I inquired and just got the exact same message. I replied again asking when I could get the RMA. I then got an email saying my support ticket would be canceled in 72 hours since they had not heard from me.
The full correspondence (except for the message about canceling the ticket) is all on the support page. So I am not sure why I am getting messages saying the ticket would be canceled.
I know better than to expect decent tech support from a computer manufacturer. But nothing is working. Is there a way to escalate or is there some kind of customer mediation department or something?
At this point I am ready just to fix it myself and buy a harddrive and hope it is the drive and not some other issue. But I also don't have any kind of sticker with the windows activation code, so I would have to buy a copy of Windows. Is there some way I can get a copy of the activation key that should have come with the laptop?
