Charging 2021 Blade 15 Advanced with PSU and USB-C

Hi During normal working hours I just use a Thunderbolt dock with 90w charging to run my Razer Raptor, Razer Noma Speaker, Chroma Dock, ethernet etc etc. This keeps the Blade 15 topped up. When I want to game, I plug in the Blade's PSU. Is this going to kill the battery? Does USB-C charging stop so it only takes one power source? With all the reports of battery swelling in these devices, I want to mitigate it as much as possible. By Monday, the dock will be replace with a Chroma dock also, which I believe is still 90w.

Razer? Anyone?

I actually use the Thunderbolt 4 Chroma dock here and just this morning they pushed out a firmware update and now I can just use the USB-C dock cable to run full performance mode. Prior to the update today it would give me a warning about power being underdelivered and would lock me into battery settings only. Now I am able to use full plugged in performance and even overclock using nothing but the USB-C cable. I am using the 11th gen version with Thunderbolt 4 and the Thunderbolt 4 dock, so your mileage may vary depending on your system. A very pleasant surprise though and now I don't need to spend an extra $130 on a PSU to keep at work.

Sorry, to answer your original question more fully, no this will not harm your system. When the PSU is plugged in it disables power delivery over the USB-C automatically.

Awesome. Really appreciate a response, thank you. Running the 2021 10th gen version (annoyingly) so haven’t seen an update like that yet.
