My xbox controller stand’s light is not changing from orange to white (it doesn’t stop charging) therefore causing it to overcharge and get very hot.

Did you notice the problem straight out of the box? This is highly likely a hardware problem. Please PM me the serial number so I can verify its model and check our options for a warranty claim.
