Cortex Not Launching | Razer Insider

I have tried all of the usual fixes that most of you will suggest. This issue has been persistent even through entirely wiping and restarting my computer. It worked for a few days after reset and then quit suddenly. It pops up in my taskbar for a split second then goes away but nothing on the actual screen at any point. Before all this started I never once had this issue and my software didnt change between the time it worked and didnt to the best of my knowledge. I will provide the cortex log if someone asks and can translate it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Before providing us with your Razer Cortex logs, please try to troubleshoot on your side:

1. Update WebView2, then, launch Razer Cortex. If it persists, please try the second method.



2. Clear the cache of Razer Central by deleting this folder: C:\\ProgramData\\Razer\\Razer Central\\WebAppCache.

Michelle, Thank you very much. While your response was not necessarily the answer to my problem, it did lead me to my answer and you should keep this in your pocket of possible solutions. When I went to the WebView2 website I saw the Edge symbol and immediately knew the problem. I've deleted Microsoft Edge both times that this happened, I am guessing that Cortex is dependent on Microsoft Edge specifically as when I went to install WebView2 it said it was already installed. Your assistance is much appreciated.

You are right. WebView2 is a necessary component to launch Razer Cortex. That is why you couldn't launch Razer Cortex after deleting Microsoft Edge.
