Cynosa Lite very dim | Razer Insider

I picked up a Cynosa Lite keyboard today, works fine but the lighting even at 100% is so dim it's hardly visible in daylight.

Before I take it back to the shop and go back to my annoying Asus keyboard I thought I'd check if anyone had a solution, although some google searching seems to show that Razer may have decided to make their keyboards dim by design which seems a stupid decision. Since the brightness can be adjusted, I see no reason for maximum brightness to be so feeble. The Asus keyboard has some issues but at least it's possible to set it so I can see the key legends in daylight. The only bright thing is the Razer logo on the front face.

If all the Razer keyboards are this feeble now, I'll have to look elsewhere for a replacement, which is a pity as the reputation for quality otherwise is generally good.

The Razer Cynosa Lite has single-zone backlighting compared to the Cynosa Chroma's under glow lighting with 22 customization zones feature. I’ll be locking this thread now. Feel free to send me a PM anytime or visit our self-help options should you have other questions or concerns.
