Deathadder Elite Clicking Problems - Firmware Update?

I'm having the problem with my Deathadder Elite where it double-clicks instead of sing when it shouldn't but I haven't been able to find any definitive answers....if there is or isn't firmware or if there's any fix. I realize the mouse is a few years old now but the problem seemed common even when they were new. Is there somewhere to get any info or an answer? .
