Deathadder Elite Stops Working Intermittently
Hi there,
I recently bought a Razer Deathadder Elite mouse and have been experiencing a lot of issues with it.
It will randomly, and for a random amount of time, just freeze up and/or stop functioning altogether. When it freezes, the Chroma lighting freezes in place with it. There is no pattern as to when or why these problems occur. For a while, inconvenient as it might have been, I would go and unplug the mouse from my PC and plug it back in to remedy the problem (temporarily, of course). But it's been getting progressively worse as time goes on.
Now, Windows won't even recognize the mouse half the time. I get the "Windows doesn't recognize this device" notification and nothing happens. Unplugging it might work, but seldom does anymore. Even when it does work, the mouse could stop working at any given second. I can't trust this mouse at all and am guessing at what needs to be done to make it usable again each time it quits.
The mouse was even crashing Synapse 3 yesterday, while still functioning, just when I went to change a setting or preset on it.
After reinstalling Synapse, checking that drivers and firmware are up to date, and many other troubleshooting things, I'm at a complete loss of what to do. Currently unable to contact Razer support as it's after-hours.
This is the only mouse I have for my desktop PC and it's essentially unusable without a functional mouse.
Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated!
