Deathadder v3 pro scroll whell

Same here. Had it for about 6 months and the scroll wheel will just randomly jump forward or backwards now and it unfortunately looks like it’s just a common problem. Seems like they just cheaped out on it in the design process because none of the other editions have had this problem. The only solutions I’ve seen are to use the warranty or to open it up and replace the encoder.

me and my friend has DA3 and we both have same issue. it’s just a “razer quality” product. I also know 2 other people that own different razer mouses and all of them have scroll issues, so its not only DA3. I’ve returned viper pro before I bought DA3 because scroll wheel wasn’t working and now I have a mouse for 150 bucks that randomly scrolls whenever it wants ^^^

Me too. i’ve had my deathadder since april of 2024 and i’ve had this issue for the past month already. i switched back to an old mouse because i cant properly use my dav3. planning to get it replaced as i think its still covered by warranty. disappointed with the quality of razer’s product lately as it was the same problem with my viper v2 pro.

This is ridiculous, I went out of budget to purchase what i thought was a major upgrade over the DA Elite and the scroll wheel doesn’t work😞. 

Encoder is prone to sweat/skin cell buildup and or premature wear.  A temporary fix is spraying a little ISO down the sides of the wheel while scrolling back and forth fast then dry.  I have to do this 1x month until today I gave up and disabled scrolling in Synapse and just use the click scroll...

It’s a shame because the optical switches are excellent and have held up perfectly unlike a certain brand’s choice of Omron switches which degraded fast and eventually malfunction.  However at least their scroll encoder has held up for 4+ years not a single malfunction unlike DAV3, couldn’t even make it 1 year.
