Deathstalker Chroma: no more shiny light after Razer's update - SOLVED!

My Deathstalker Chroma stopped showing the precious shiny lights. It all happened when I proceeded with the suggested update of the Razer Software. No matter what I do, no matter what colors I set inside Synapse (2.21) ... it's all darkness. Any ideas on how not to take refuge to physical violence? ;-)

    Being the impatient kind of guy I continued Googling this and tried about everything: uninstalling, reinstalling, drivers, ... you name it, I dit it. Nothing worked. What did work? Unplugging the Deathstarker and plugging it in again. So bye now while I go jump off a cliff. ;)
