Deathstalker V2 Pro not charging 0%

Hi,

My Deathstalker V2 Pro is not charging.  I have it plugged in to the USB on my laptop permanently but it is not holding any charge.  It stays at 0%.  The charging monitor shows the charging status as active.

I have updated the firmware and synapse software to no avail.

Have you seen this issue before?

Yello!

Just came back home to play some video games from my bed and ended up happening to me too. Works fine as long as it is plugged in through the USB-C (Provided Cable) and synapse shows the green charge animation but it’s stuck at 0 and no matter how long I keep it in, it doesn’t charge.

Hey,

This exact same thing is happening to me too. It has been plugged in for hours (i thought it was charging) and when I checked it’s still on 0% and isn’t holding charge. I’ve checked for new drivers and updates too but there’s nothing. I’m using the provided cable and it isn’t damaged in any way. This has only been an issue today, so I’m really confused. If you found a solution please reply and let me know.

Hey guys!

Did you already try restarting the Synapse 3 app or perform a clean installation? If not yet, you can get the steps here. Feel free to PM me anytime should the issue persist to I can properly document your concern and escalate it to the relevant team advanced resolution. Thank you!

Hi,

I do not know if you guys have solved it or not but in my case when I update its firmware the keyboard becomes normal again and  start charging. so I think u should update its firmware first. Hope this helps!

Thanks for suggestions. Firmware was up to date.  I went through all the steps outlined by support page  and support team.

RMA was required.

A replacement is being sent.

I am having this same issue. I have owned the keyboard for about two months and it just randomly stopped holding a charge. not sure what to do. I hate that I bought this keyboard because now I have found better options for cheaper.

I am having the same issues described above. Keyboard was never harmed or something. It just suddenly dropped charge level to 0%, but it kept working wireless. Some time after I had to start using the cable. Some time past - it stopped working properly, most annoying thing is keyboard spam.

I tried clean reinstallation. Didn`t work.

It keeps showing 0%, while plugged via original type c cable. I updated all the software available for Deathstalker V2 pro. Didn`t help.

The keyboard is high price but it only worked for a month.

my deathstalker v2 pro isnt charging past 65% and ive been trying to get it to 100% and it will get stuck at 65% and wont go any further. just bought it less than 7 days ago and tried everything. force updated it and everything and after the update its not charging at the same time as my razer basilisk v3 pro. its one or the other. any thing would help. half the time it says its not charging in the synapse software i fell like its a waste of money.

My deathstalker is plugged in straight to my PC with the USB cable (Not using wirelessly), but it is still losing charge when I use it. How can it lose charge when it is plugged in? I am not using it wirelessly and have never used it wirelessly. I updated the firmware and it is still losing charge while plugged in.

I have really similar problem, but in my case it gets stuck on 60%

Bought all Razer set, really disappointed from the quality of the keyboard so far. Charging via cable is a well known technology and has various standard solutions, there should not be so many charging issues :/

Update : I replaced the Razer "USB to Type C" with a generic one and it solved it for me.

Good luck

The keyboard spam and constant disconnection when the battery is 0% is terrible. I managed to charge my battery up to 3.3volts using a lab PSU and expected it to charge normally from that point but it doesn’t charge it. Seems like some BMS is keeping track of cycle counts and it refuses to charge it further. Planned obsolescence i guess. Since i can’t RMA the device I’m going to go ahead and replace the BQ27621 chip with a new one in few days. I will post an update if it starts to charge.

Same here. And now my battery is out and it is not charging with the cable. As there is no battery even with the USB cable it is not recognized in my laptop. Even it connects it has key spam and opens certain browser tabs and applications. Please give an update if the chip replacement solved an issue. However, it is not expected that the charging has a limits.

The solution is to use another usb- c cable (I use my Xbox Controller cable) to charge the keyboard, I don’t know why the original Razer cable isn’t charging I think it’s only ment to use the keyboard with an cable so not wireless but idk. Anyways with another Usb- c cable the keyboard is charging and working wireless again with the 2.4 dongle. 🤓

For those who still having issue, please try the following. I did this with mine, and it works:

  1. Plug your Keyboard to USB C to charge it and ensure it won’t die during the process and keep it at 2.4 Ghz mode.
  2. Unpair your Keyboard from dongle (Through Razer Synapse)
  3. Re-pairing it with your dongle (Through Razer Synapse)
  4. This should works. And do not let your keyboard battery run out below 10%. Not 100% confirmed yet. but most likely this is the one that causing the issue.

And advise for Razer, this should be a simple issue with simple fix, but you have not released any patch to fix this issue. I bought an expensive and branded keyboard for unhelpful Customer Services for more than 1 year. Won’t buy any product from this brand again.

Been having this problem for some time. I kind of tried everything i found on the internet. Also i am rocking the last firmware on both, dongle and keyboard, yet with stock razer cable no charge. not even the charging animation is triggered.

I saw your comment, tried it right away and the keyboard seems to charge and work as it should. Hope this holds in time and the keyboard will work a long road cause I really like it.

Thanks for the advices!
