Deathstalker V2 Pro RGB issue after firmware update.

Hi guys. I would need your assistance regarding an RGB issue with my Deathstalker V2 pro after I updated its firmware to the latest one.

After updating the firmware, the keyboard's RGB starts working differently when connected using different types of connection.

  • When connected via cable: Only default breathing effect
  • When connected via Bluetooth: Only default rainbow wave effect.
  • When connected via 2.4ghz dongle: All LEDs are off, except for the Macro, Capslock, Numblock indicators, and Fn combinations (F9-F12, Pause, End). However, Chroma Studio still shows that the RGB effects are working.
  • When connected via my Basilisk V3 pro's 2.4Ghz dongle (multi-device pairing): The RGB effects work fine. This is the only connection where I can change the RGB effects normally.

The S/N of my Deathstalker V2 Pro is: PM2229F65403080

Please assist me. Thank you.

If you Windows 11 with latest update - it introduces Dynamic lighting devices: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/component-guidelines/dynamic-lighting-devices

It may override some of your Chroma settings - so check if you have this and reconfigure/disable it.

KUDOS TO YOU, MY MAN. It drove me nut, I even thought my dongle is broken or something. Good thing I won’t have to send my keyboard to warranty. I didn’t even know Dynamic lighting was a thing, and it’s even on by default. Thanks again, I appreciate it!
