DPI feels slow.

So I just recently switched from a TeckNet M009 Gaming Mouse to a Razer Deathadder Elite but my DPI feels slower compared to my old mouse, the DPI is the same, set to 1000 in both mouses. Yet the Deathadder feels slow compared to the other one. I don't think its the weight of the mouse that make it feel slow because I require more space on my mouse pad now to move my view around compared to the m009. I can't figure out what it is, so I would appreciate some help, thanks!
