EXTREMELY noisy fan - Razer Blade 15

Hi, I'm looking for some assistance with my Razer Blade 15 (uk edition rz09 03006w92). This laptop used to be great, pretty silent most of the time and no issues when the fans were active. Recently one of the fans (right side as I look down on the keyboard) has become incredibly noisy. Also the laptop vibrates. These are all classic signs of a bearing problem in the fan. I'm really struggling to get meaningful assistance from Razer support. I am just getting canned responses about doing a driver update. This machine is fully up to date, there are no more driver or windows updates available! I'm really struggling to fathom why they thing a driver update will fix a single noisy fan. This has been communicated with them. And when I say loud I mean I have to raise my voice to speak over it! It's useless if I want to make a call using the built in mic (it's that loud). I use this machine for a bit of gaming but also mainly for media editing but I certainly can't do this in the offiec because it bothers every body else in the room. I'm thinking I need to have the fan replaced but I want to fully exhaust my support options before I crack open this expensive machine and repair it myself. What else can I do? Thanks in advance. ps. I've had to chane the power profile from active to passive so that the problem fan doesn't fire up all of the time. This makes it bearable for a small amount of net browsing and creating this thread Edit: I've also just had an email from suport suggesting that the case is closed. That is not the case. I just haven't had an opporunity to respond - until today. That's not on.

A driver rollback or a clean installation typically solves issues like fans randomly ramping up even when on idle. That said, we also explore possible hardware issues. The fan may be falling out of the bearing, or the fan blades could be catching onto something inside the chassis. Do send me your ticket number so I can check what troubleshooting steps have been suggested so far. I can also update the case if the problem hasn't been solved yet. *Thread locked to curb the conversation to PMs.
