Firefly v2 and a drunk Mamba TE | Razer Insider

I have found some other threads about this, but have not found a solution. Got a new Firefly v2. I have the v1, but its like its delaminating or something and is no longer flat (slight hump in the middle causing dead/blind spots for tracking). My Mamba TE hardly tracks on the v2; kind of like a drunk trying to walk a line. An old cloth mat or the v1 (aside from the dead spots) track fine. I have tried to calibrate the mouse in synapse, clean it with isopropyl/q-tip, switch USB ports; no luck. Is the Mamba TE sensor just not compatible with the Firefly v2?
After dinking around with the stupid thing for the past few days, I picked up a Mamba Elite. Works fine with the Firefly v2. So that said, Firefly v2 and Mamba TE sensor don't play nice.
