I was in the middle of a Destiny 2 session when all of a sudden I had whole screen graphical anomalies followed by a hard shutdown (not even a BSOD). I booted back up and was immediately faced with checkerboard/horizontal lines throughout my display. This was present even before Windows (ruling out a driver issue). I thought heat might be the issue so I let everything cool for 8 hours and tried again...same problem. I then went into BIOS and switched from the dedicated GPU setting to allowing the onboard Intel GPU to take over. This fixed the problem completely (now I know its not my actual display). However, when I switch back to the 2080 MaxQ, the problem immediately comes back after restart. I've opened a support ticket but was wondering if anyone had ever run into this before...it might be RMA time for this 3 month old laptop.
