HELP - Kraken Tournament only working with "chat" channel when using Discord

I've got a USB Kraken Tournament headset. Windows 10 shows that I've got "game" and "chat" sound devices.

I have configured Discord to use the chat channel for input and output.

If I have a game playing through the game sound channel, I cannot hear anyone speaking through Discord from the chat channel (even though the balance between game and chat is set in the middle).

If I set my main Windows default sound channel to chat, I can hear the game and Discord. But, I cannot adjust the balance between "game" and "chat" since I'm only using one channel for everything.

Has anyone come across this issue? If so how did you fix it?
