Hi,

  • Razer Blade Pro 17 (2017) with 4K IGZO G-Sync Sharp CRX1200 display and GTX 1080 GPU

There’s been a long-running (Oct 2022) open request on the NVidia Forum to fix the linux nvidia driver for versions above 470.

https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/backlight-brightness-very-low-when-using-nvidia-driver-510-or-newer-ubuntu-22-04/231869/25

The problem is the backlight is turned-off in the Razer Blade Pro 17” display for recent versions of the NVidia Driver - any driver post version 470. Without the backlight, the screen is not readable. It’s a 4K screen, still very usable, if only NVidia would fix the new drivers.

Can someone assist?

Can Razer send/loan NVidia a laptop so they can fix this, please?

b.
