Help replacing/fixing a broken Blackwidow Chroma v1? | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Hey there!

I’ve been using my Blackwidow Chroma for a good 6-7 years now and have finally run into an issue.

Cat knocked over a glass of water and I wasn’t able to catch it before some spilled onto the board. Unplugged it immediately, removed the caps and dried what I could, then waited a few days for it to dry entirely. When I plugged it back in however, nearly a dozen keys were not working either partially or entirely.

I was hoping to contact Razer support, but realized that 1) the v1 is wayyyy past being stocked or supported by Razer, and 2) I can’t seem to find my proof of purchase for it anywhere.

Which leads me to here: hoping that someone might be able to help me fix or replace my favorite board. I’ve been checking eBay and other online stores, but getting a v1 is proving to be much more challenging than I’d hoped :/

Thanks so much!

Oh my! Sorry to hear about what happened to your keyboard. As much as I want to help but the issue that occurred due to mishandling or accident is not covered by Razer's limited warranty. Also, Razer is not repairing any peripherals only replaces them as long as the guarantee is up. I’ll be locking this thread now. Feel free to send me a PM anytime or visit our self-help options should you have other questions or concerns.
