Help Setting up Razer Nari Ultimate

Hi, so I got my Nari Ultimate today, and I've been loving it so far, I just have one issue.

In synapse it says to "Select THX Spatial Audio as your default playback device for the best audio experience" however when I do this, I lose all sound. For a reference, here's what I have listed in my playback devices:

1)Headset Earphone: Razer Nari Ultimate - Chat
2) Headphones: Razer Nari Ultimate - Game
3) NVIDIA output: NVIDIA HD Audio (Not plugged in, unrelated to the headset)
4) Speakers: THX Spatial - Synapse
5) Internal AUX Jack: THX Spatial - Synapse.

I currently have Razer Nari Ultimate - Game set as default for both normal and communications, choosing Razer Nari Ultimate - Chat as the default device through my Discord settings, to allow game/chat balance.

This is the only way I can make the headset work. Setting EITHER option 4 or 5 to default causes all sounds to stop entirely. The only good sign is; when I set option 4 to default, I have volume bars bouncing in my Mixer, but still head no sound.

I'm content with the headset as is for now, as it's still usable and I'm still enjoying it, but I'd really like to know how to make it work through the THX option like synapse itself advises, so I can get the best performance from the headset. Thanks in advance, I will be getting off for the night after this post, but I'll respond and try any solutions posted in the morning

Hey, I've got the same problem. THX Spatial - Synapse is not working for me. Maybe its related to the newest Windows Update, because it was working before I Updated.
Thanks for the response. I suppose all we can do for now is hope for a response from Razer, or wait for a Synapse/Windows update to fix the issue.

Hi everyone! Upon selecting Razer Nari Ultimate in Razer Synapse 3.0, have you checked your Game-Chat balance and see if the headset works? Also, while doing a sound test using Razer Synapse 3.0, please check if both "Windows Playback Device Headphones: Razer Nari Ultimate - Game" and "Speakers: THX Spatial - Synapse" green indicator bars peaks in and out?

Hi, thanks for the response. Upon switching over to THX Audio again this morning, it now seems to be working fine. Although I did reset both my PC and Synapse when trying to fix this last night, I guess powering it back on this morning has fixed whatever the issue is.

Game and Chat are working, but THX Spatial - Synapse is not. Indikator bar peaks out but no sound on my headset.

Thanks in advance

Hey, @Drazieth! Thanks for letting us know! Feel free to hit us a PM should you need further assistance.

Hi @Libertyplacesolo604. Thanks for bringing that up. Have you set your Razer Nari Ultimate as the default headset in your Razer Synapse? If it does, please adjust/check your Game/Chat balance knob in your right ear cup while running a Razer Synapse sound test and see how it goes. If in case the issue persists, recommend to uninstall and reinstall your Razer Synapse 3.0 and download it from this link.

Thank you for your fast reply. Sadly, it didn't helped.

That's a bummer, @Libertyplacesolo604. 😞 Please send me a PM by clicking this link together with a screenshot showing your Windows Sound Playback device list as I need to confirm which is your default device and default communication device.
Anybody managed to solve this issue? I'm having the exact same problem as the original poster, although I am using the non-Ultimate Razer Nari. The THX Spatial Speakers volume bars are bouncing but I hear nothing.

I can confirm that it was working fine prior to the latest Win 10 1903 update. I think that has broken it somehow. Originally I thought had something to do with the new Windows Game Bar, which may have been overwriting or interfering with the audio output. Not the case, as I have turned it off, including a complete reinstall of synapse 3 as well.

I do get audio if I switch from THX Spatial to Headphones (Razer Nari - game).

Any advice would be great.

Hey there! Which is your default device and default communication device? Please get your headset's serial number by removing the left ear cushion and send it via PM so we can continue there.
Ok, I might have a sort of temporary solution to the lack of THX spatial effects. It might have something to do with the THX services that Windows 10 runs in the background, could have been borked in the 1903 update according to this link in reddit:

https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/a0bray/razer_synapse_3_breaks_audio_from_razer_nari/

The short of it is that I still need to have my default play back device as 'Headphones (Razer Nari - Game)', but after following the above link on reddit, I was able regain THX effects. Basically, in addition to doing a fully purge of Synapse 3 off your system, including deleting the razer files contained within program files(x86) and keys within your windows registry using Regedit, you also need to remove the THX registry folder located here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->THX

After reinstalling synapse 3 I regained THX spatial effects. 'Speakers (THX Spatial - Synapse)' still does not produce any audio however.

Finally, I am unsure if it is a permanent fix, thus will keep everybody posted.
