How to edit audio of Kraken X Lite?

I recently got the Razer Kraken X Lite, and upon using it, something seems a bit off. For some reason when playing games, the audio is weird, no matter if I have 7.1 surround turned on or off. Compared to the 20USD headset I had for a year and a half, the Kraken X Lite sounds quiet in games, and sometimes it doesn't sound very crisp, or like the bass is lacking. The headset cable is correctly plugged into the 3.5mm divider, and my volume is all the way up in sound settings and on windows.

What I want to know is how can I adjust the levels of the audio, with something like an equalizer for example. Can I use something like Synapse 2 or 3, should I use a third-party equalizer, or is there a fix for the odd audio?
