Huntsman elite - Lighting stutters/lags and key presses repeat when plugging in the 2nd USB

My Huntsman Elite lights stutter and lag when plugging in 2nd USB (Light USB). When the main USB is plugged in, the keyboard keys light up fine with smooth LED patterns. As soon as the lighting USB is plugged in, the wristpad lights turn on, but the whole lighting LEDs on the keyboard (including the wristpad leds) stutter and certain keys such as ‘e’, ‘r’ and ‘backspace’ repeat, resulting in 3 presses when only tapping the key once.  I recall this issue started to happen when a firmware upgrade was released a while back, though the latest firmware states it fixes the led stuttering, but ive installed it and nothings changed.

I’ve tried to troubleshoot the issues such as:

  • removing synapse and reinstalling synapse
  • repairing synapse
  • using the program to remove and clean up drivers before reinstalling
  • trying every USB on my pc
  • trying it on different pc’s
  • plugging the 2nd USB into a 5v 1amp wall charger
  • Upgrading and downgrading firmwares

There is alot of talk in online forums with people having the same issues and was wanting some help with it please :)

Why’s this marked as solved? It’s far from solved.

Intel or AMD platform? With LED stuttering I’d also check for graphic card driver update (I had once similar situation with Chroma stuttering, and GPU driver update fixed it somehow). Also you can check for the BIOS update for your laptop/motherboard.

Also does it stutters when you’ll exit Synapse (right click on Razer central icon in tray → exit all apps). Did you’ve tried the new Synapse 4 version? https://www.razer.com/synapse-4
