Huntsman Elite Profile Issues

I just bought this keyboard and I am having significant difficulties with profiles. First, I can't save lighting effects within an individual profile. Within the "Lighting" tab of the profile page, I select "Advanced Effects" and then choose the name of the lighting scheme that I created in Studio from a drop down box. The keyboard changes to that scheme, but here's the problem. That scheme is now assigned to every profile. If I go into another profile and change the lighting scheme, it is accepted, but now it sets every profile to that new scheme. I note that the "Brightness" and "Switch Off Lighting" settings get saved with the individual profiles, but never the effects. The second issue is that the manual says the menu key is supposed to take on the color of the loaded profile. Mine doesn't. It's always white while cycling through profiles by pressing fn+menu or when the fn key is pressed by itself. I have tried resetting the internal keyboard memory to factory defaults, ensured that previous Synapse software was uninstalled and the removed Synapse V3 and reinstalled. The above behavior never changed. Any advice to resolve these two issues would be appreciated.
