Damn, I thought I was going crazy. I have the same issues with the keyboard.

I’m following your advice, though and am trying a lower actuation point, as well as dim lighting on my keyboard. I hope this helps.

Nothing worked for me. I’m using a different keyboard.

Yeah, that didn’t work for me, either, tbh. What worked was completely turning off Synapse. I’m controlling the RGB through openRGB at the moment. I really like how this keyboard feels and the only proper alternative for me would be the wooting two he. Hope this software glitch gets sorted out eventually.

Hello everyone, I want to share my experience with you.

I purchased this keyboard a year ago, and I never had any problems with it until I updated the firmware (I updated it because I had a problem with the lighting and I ended up updating it to the most current version, which caused my keyboard to have the problem you reported about 3 months now).

I contacted Razer, but they didn't do anything and I'm still looking for solutions.  The problem with the lighting was resolved, but the problem with the keys sticking started.

I started some tests, I reset my PC several times and reinstalled Windows, I noticed that when Windows was with nothing installed and without recent updates, I didn't have the problem (I tested tirelessly to confirm with synapse open and my default profile from the account + lighting settings by chroma studio), but when I updated Windows, the problem it started and there was no point in removing the updates that wouldn't stop.

So my first suspicion was Windows updates and some incompatibility with Windows 11, I would like to do the same tests on Windows 10.

Now here's an important question: when I use the keyboard on my notebook (Dell G5590), the problem does not occur No way, even though I have the same programs I use on the desktop and Windows 11 in the same version.

Could it be something related to the Windows drivers and the motherboard itself?  That's a question... I tested the keyboard on my fiancé's computer, which had the same problem, but less frequently. Our motherboard is from gigabyte and Intel's processor.

I hope my report helps something so we can get somewhere. And sorry about my English, it's not my native language.

20231026 update, 3.8.1030.102422. Keyboard firmware 1.06. The problem persists. AMD X570 MB & 5800X, WIndows 10. So platform and OS major version don’t seem to matter. Occurrence pattern did became randomized in my case, before 1.05 it was at least once per day(twice per day experienced), but from 1.05 it’s now several on one day to once per week.

I reported exactly same problem last year and got the replacement, but that one shared same pattern to failure.

Almost an one month, it’s fine. After that, probably 4~6 weeks, it starts to repeating entire keystrokes.

I asked firmware and software update for this to support but it seems somebody above the support agents ignored it until recent days. Well, nice job.

I still need replacements though.. volume wheel of my RMA replacement HV2A’s malfunctioning a lot, broken on arrival. I initially thought that if repeating does not occur it’s tolerable, but well, it hunts me again.

I downgraded firmware to 1.3.1.0, and it seems fine I guess.

I'd like to keep an eye on it for a while.

I will do that too

I downgraded the firmware to 1.03.01_r1, and it didn't help much for me, it reduces the frequency of the keys sticking a little, I believe that synapse is also to blame.  I can force the problem in tests by typing quickly and pressing the space key between keystrokes and in a few minutes or seconds it duplicates the last keys pressed.

About the downgrade, don't mind it. I just now confirmed the issue happened again either.

New synapse’s upgrade … I’m testing. Please, share your feedback

I just updated to Synapse 20231106. The bug seems to show up less frequently, but is still present.

Same for me, less frequent but still present

There has been another synapse update: 20231107

Not sure why mine is 1107 and the above is 1106, perhaps another update right afterwards?

Time to find out if its finally fixed.
Good to see that theyre trying to fix it at least with this many recent synapse updates having huntsman bug fixes.

The latest version of Synapse is now 3.8.1031.110202, you can check it on Synapse’s gear button (Settings page) placed on the top right.

The date that showed on Central application is just a date that user’s check update date and update applied date.

Let’s see if this problem is gone for good.

I performed a clean installation of Synapse in the new version reported, I also removed the drivers using Razer's Clean Driver before reinstalling and the same problem continues, with no improvements.

It seems to be happening less frequently, at least for myself, and less keys repeated, I think.

But its still happening sadly.

I bought another keyboard today, the Logitech G915, unfortunately it wasn't what I wanted to do, as I loved the keyboard with the analog switches, but I'm going to get rid of the Razer and never buy anything from the brand again. The fact that the peripheral is completely dependent on software for important functions is terrible, this problem has been occurring for over years with several models and they have not been able to solve it. I hope they resolve it, I'll keep an eye on it here.

New version, 3.8.1031.110912 (20231110). The bug is still there.

3.8.1031.110912 here, I got the problem reproduced today. I was able to leave Synapse log quick and shared with support team.

What a premium experience, my 50% of warranty time is gone, while I’m constantly suffering with this flaw.

Sill waiting to the fix

FWIW - I have a brand new Deathstalker v2 Pro wireless (less than a week old) and it’s happening on two different laptops using the 2.4 dongle with Basilisk v3 Pro mouse unified to the same dongle.  One laptop has Synapse and is Windows 11, the other DOES NOT have Synapse installed and is Windows 10.

I’m thinking it’s a firmware issue, not a Synapse issue.

What? You have an exactly same issue on Deathstalker, not Huntsman V2 Analog, also even without Synapse?

That is correct.

I can also say that when Synapse is running, I have "react" as one of my Chroma effects...turns my key white on keypress.  When the key repeats it holds the key white...even though the key has been physically released.  So the keyboard believes the key is still being pressed even when the switch physically is no longer activated.

The repeating key issue does happen without synapse though (my work laptop does not have synapse installed).

@sinclaj1 Your case’s different but still annoying… I heard that Huntsman had that previously also.

What Huntsman V2 Analog has now, and talking about it in this post is, it retypes several keystrokes. It includes enter, shift, any keys on the keyboard. The symptom is like ihavetoThe symptom is like ihavetosaysomething while I only wanted to type [ihavetosaysomething]. Additional input can be mixed while keyboard repeats previous keystrokes. This even includes whole ALT+TAB and Enter, so what you input ID&passwords can be sent via messenger if user’s response isn’t super quick. I did experienced that.

And yeah.. Razer’s still keeping us wait for eternity yet. No official statements as far as I know, only individual responses about this case for who asked about it to Razer Support.

I too have the Huntsman V2 Analog and have had this same string repeating issue. its persisted for months, and i finally decided to look up the issue as its becoming so frustrating when its making me type a garbled mess.

suffice to say, i’m not shocked that razers flagship has such issues and razers response seems to be ‘maybe it’ll get fixed at some point’ more reasoning not to spend a fortune on razer products, low to mid range is the best bet. seems you’ll get no special consideration for spending on their flagship products.

but i live in hope, as they’re still the most durable products imo. i just hope they can sort this out soon so i can change my rather negative opinion when people ask me about my super expensive keyboard.

This is still an ongoing issue Razer, if youre still paying attention to this thread.

The keystrokes are being repeated while typing messages and even while playing games as well. Can tell you its not fun when that happens, especially in ones like Darktide.

Or for example Diablo IV, I’m afraid if Blizzard could consider it a macro or something and I will be banned from battle.net
